Polyalkylene glycol-based polymer quenchant for induction and flame heat treating applications. In order to adapt to the hardenability of the steel and the demands of the component, the quenching speed can be adjusted by varying the concentration of the solution. – The TREMP AQ58 solutions between 1 and 5% improve the wetting capacity of the surface of the component in order to make the quenching more even and prevent the formation of soft spots. These low concentrations are generally used for low-hardenability steel. – The TREMP AQ58 solutions between 5 and 20% offer a range of cooling rates that are comparable with those of soluble oil emulsions and quenching oils, and are used for steels with higher hardenability.
