Product innovation : OPALJET COMPETITION 10W60 : the 1st motor oil in Europe using nanoparticles
Opaljet competition 10W60 is an oil formulated to meet the most severe requirements of racing cars engines.
It guaranties a perfect protection of lubricated parts whatever the constraints these parts are submitted to, thanks to the nanoparticles it contains.
These particles , 1000 times smaller than a micron, lower in an exceptional way the friction coefficient of metalllic surfaces, by lodging in the surface porosities, thus blocking the microcracks and improving sliding. They also bring anti-wear properties.

AIRBUS
Since 2003, UNIL OPAL has been a partner with AIRBUS and Vogel ( SKF group) within the frame of a research project aimed at producing a suitable lubricant for High Speed Machining on composites used for the A 380 aircraft.
This project was finalized by the end of last march with the UNIL OPAL formulation of an optimized micro lubrication , suitable for aviation composite and aluminium materials .This formula will be commercialized this autumn.
We keep cooperating with AIRBUS Industries for the homologation of a soluble oil.
Triple Certification
All the UNIL. OPAL sites have obtained the triple certification of the latest version relative to the 3 referentials , i.e :
-ISO 9001 Quality - version 2000
-ISO 14001 Environment -version 2004
-OHSAS 18 001 Safety- version 1998
UNIL OPAL is one of the first lubricants brand in France to be granted this triple certification on all its production sites.
